Steve Harris Tribute Gig Postponed

It is with great regret and sadness that we are forced to announce the postponement of the ‘Tribute to Steve Harris’ gig scheduled for 28th October. Keyboard player Joe has joined his family at the bedside of his mother as she comes to the end of her final fight against bowel cancer having been given just days to live. The show is hugely important to all members of SHY and we are mindful that people have booked flights and hotels but we feel that we cannot perform Steve’s final work without all of the remaining members of the band. We hope you will join with us in sending our love and best wishes to Joe and his family at this very dark moment. A new date will be announced in due course.

    It never rains but it pours. Was looking forward to this concert to celebrate the life of Steve but, obviously at this moment in time, Joe and his family come first. Joe, please accept our best wishes to you and your family.
    I lost my father to cancer and it is a very hard thing to deal with. We’re all thinking of you.
    All the best to everyone else in the band, and love to Deb.

    Just about now would have been at The Asylum to see you all play but that comes secondary to Joe and his family. Have put one or two tracks from the album on my FB (again) in memory of Steve, and for Deb and Joe.

    So sorry to hear to hear that the gig was cancelled but obviously family come first so hopefully it will go ahead maybe in the new year .I went to see you in aberdeen in the early 90ties and that was cancelled to so third tme lucky so all the best and take care
